The safety of all people has the highest priority in the WOW Museum. As we are an interactive museum, we already have the latest technology in place to ensure a safe visit to the museum, so it is essential that you bring your own cell phone/smartphone or tablet (fully charged!) In the protection concept we have laid down all the measures and hygiene rules and ask you to read them before your visit. You can download the protection concept under this link.
Visitors are only admitted to the exhibition in limited numbers to guarantee a room-filling experience. You can book your time slot from the comfort of your own home. If you drop by spontaneously, we will check if there is a free place for you and can let you in depending on the number of visitors. If the museum is already fully booked, you can reserve your admission online at the next possible date. This way you can go for a coffee without having to stand in line for a long time.
The WOW Museum is easily accessible by both private car and public transport. Zurich main station is a 5 minute walk away. The nearest parking garage Urania is within 3 minutes walking distance to the WOW Museum. The PubliBike rental bikes are also just around the corner at Werdmühleplatz.
You can buy your entrance ticket from the comfort of your own home. The important thing is that you choose your preferred time of admission.
For example, if you choose your ticket for the 13-14 o'clock slot, you can appear between 13-14 o'clock. So even at 1:55pm your entrance is guaranteed. If you arrive after the above mentioned time, we will give you access depending on availability and you can buy a ticket at the cash desk as usual.
Then we will check for a free place in the museum and can let you in depending on the number of visitors. If the museum is already fully booked, you can reserve the next possible date for admission. So you can go for a coffee without having to stand in the queue for a long time.
Within 2 hours you can buy a new ticket. Please contact the staff at the cash desk. They will give you your new ticket at the time you requested.
If you are unable to attend, you must write to email@example.com and ask them to refund your ticket as a gesture of goodwill and with a cancellation fee.
You can pay for your ticket booked online by credit card or Twint. At the cash desk we also accept credit or debit cards, EC, and cash. Unfortunately, PostFinance does not work, but due to the current situation caused by the Corona virus, we ask you to pay by card if possible.
We expect your visit to take about 1 to max. 2 hours. This depends on how long you explore the rooms and exhibits and play with the WOW-Guide.
In order to have enough time for your exploration you should allow at least one hour for the museum visit. Therefore we advise you to arrive at the museum one hour before closing time at the latest.
Every evening all rooms are checked and found objects are deposited at the cash desk in the entrance area. If you have forgotten something in the museum, you can always come and pick it up from us. You are welcome to find out in advance whether we have found your lost object. Please call us on +41 44 597 84 00 or write an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The museum is located in a historical building with limited space. Since the building is worthy of being protected, there is unfortunately no lift. The ground floor with the main rooms including the toilet is barrier-free. We are happy to offer a hand for a barrier-free tour.
As the WOW-Museum is located in a historical building there is no lift available. You are welcome to leave your pram in the entrance area to immerse yourself in the WOW world together. You will find a changing table by the toilet.
You are always welcome to ask our staff for explanations and insights during your visit to the museum and for those who are curious we offer exciting guided tours and workshops.
Training topics like: Optical illusions, colour theory, perspective and sensory perception can be explained in a WOW experience...
