We Love Illusions!

Illusions are fascinating phenomena that challenge the limits of our perception. They invite us to question the world around us. They arise when our senses, particularly our vision, are deceived by certain stimuli in a way that goes beyond our expectations or our logical understanding of reality. Examples include optical and auditory illusions or sensory perceptions that deceive us. The WOW Museum in Zurich is a vibrant and dynamic space that combines art, science, and technology to create unique and immersive experiences. Thanks to our central location near Zurich's main train station, it attracts visitors from all over the world. Across three floors, in twelve theme rooms and the Wonder Lab, we offer a variety of installations designed to challenge the perception and senses of visitors. From optical illusions to fascinating light effects and interactive artworks that come to life through movement and interaction of the visitors, the museum offers a wide range of experiences that spark curiosity and stimulate thought.

Edutainment for Everyone

A key aspect of the WOW Museum is the promotion of communal experience. Our guests are encouraged to interact with the exhibits, thereby creating their own illusions. This interactive component not only fosters creativity and experimentation but also enables the creation of unique and unforgettable moments that can be shared with friends, family, or colleagues. The museum serves not just as a platform for personal discovery, but also for communal interaction and the exchange of experiences across all age groups. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to explore the museum with your own smartphone or tablet, allowing for innovative ways to discover, document, and share. Still not enough? In Zurich, we also offer a City Rally, a city walk that goes beyond the museum's walls. Explore new perspectives of Zurich's Old Town on your smartphone, where illusions become a playful experience.The idea for the museum arose from the desire to create a place in the city center that combines fun, learning, culture, and immersive art. The vision was to make edutainment accessible to everyone. In collaboration with the Aroma agency, the WOW Museum finally became a reality, opening its doors to visitors in 2020. In the summer of 2024, we're taking a step further and planning to open a new museum in the heart of Munich.
